This procedure is an internal set up to improve customer service. By setting up Optional products, Sx.e will assist in reminding sales of complimentary items that a customer would normally purchase.
"Would you like fries with that?" This procedure typically is performed at Corporate. Suggestions are always welcome.
Search Bar: ICSEC – Product Cross Reference
Menu: Product>Setup>Extended Product Cross Reference
Click <New>
Change the Type to <Option>
In Product enter the part number that the optional item should appear when selected
In Option Reference enter the part number to appear as an additional purchase when the other part is selected.
Click <Save>
Alternate: To Create Via Upload
Create a CSV file with the following columns:
Option Reference
Product
Sequence (should be 1 unless there are multiple optional products for 1 part – in that case, it is a sequential number)
Import Program is: G:\QD\pd\options.p
Run that for each company that the options need to be loaded.
You’ll be able to check your work in OEIP – enter any customer and a branch that carries the part and the part. You’ll see Optional Products Exist.
When the part is selected in Order Entry, this is the sequence the user will receive information:
User will enter the Part
By clicking <Add> to the order, the Optional Products screen appear.
Enter the number of pallets to charge the customer and click <Submit>.
Both the item and pallets will be added to the order.

Lookup or enter part number
Enter appropriate Warehouse
Click <SEARCH>
Click <Cross Reference>
