When placing orders, you should be placing orders only when you can meet the freight minimum.
Don’t Over Buy. Buy what you need to fill the 1-2 months of sales. You should be placing orders frequently to turn the inventory instead of placing orders for 6 months of inventory at a time.
Placing orders frequently allows you to purchase the slower moving items when they are needed and keep your stock of fast-moving items turning. If you are constantly nearly selling out when your next order comes in, you’ll not find yourself in a situation where you have product that is out of date code.
Do NOT use another branch as your vendor. You must maintain adequate inventory levels at your own branch. Do NOT expect another branch to place the orders for you and be your supplier.
